CommuteGlance is built with privacy as a core principle. We collect the minimum data necessary to deliver transit information to you.
Location access is optional and requires your explicit permission. When granted, your location is used on-device to find nearby stations and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. Your location is not stored.
CommuteGlance uses Sentry for crash reporting. This feature is optional and can be toggled off in Settings. Crash reports contain technical diagnostic data (device model, OS version, stack traces) and never include personal information.
Transit schedules (GTFS data) are cached locally on your device to enable offline access. Your saved routes and preferences are stored only on your device.
In short: CommuteGlance works entirely on your device. The only network requests are to fetch live transit data from public transit APIs and, if you opt in, to send anonymous crash reports.
